Attendance Allowance | Attendance Allowance is disability benefit for people who have reached state pension age when they first claim. You can get Attendance Allowance if you’ve reached State Pension age and the following apply: |
Budgeting Loans | You could get a Budgeting Loan to help pay for essential things like furniture, clothes, moving costs or hire purchase debts. The smallest amount you can borrow is £100. |
Carers Allowance | Carer’s Allowance is £66.15 a week to help you look after someone with substantial caring needs. You don’t have to be related to, or live with, the person you care for. You must be 16 or over and spend at least 35 hours a week caring for them. |
Child Benefit | You get Child Benefit if you’re responsible for a child under 16 (or under 20 if they stay in approved education or training) |

Council Tax Reduction | Apply to your local council for Council Tax Reduction (sometimes called Council Tax Support). You’ll get a discount on your bill if you’re eligible. |
Disability Living Allowance - Adults | Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is a tax-free benefit for disabled people who need help with mobility or care costs. For new claims since 2013 it has been replaced by Personal Independence Payment. |

Housing Benefit | You could get Housing Benefit to help you pay your rent if you’re on a low income. Housing Benefit can pay for part or all of your rent. How much you get depends on your income and circumstances. For new claims most people of working age will need to apply for Universal Credit instead. |
